Hey mage not sure if you'll see this but I was wondering what emulator you're using to play this? I'm having issues with Cameron running an emulator on my phone. Wanna play it on pc but not sure which emulator to use

What I like about Metroid Prime is that they try to explain some of the "meta" with lore. The reason Samus starts with no upgrade is because she lost everything in the begining. The reason her power ups are on the planet is because that's where her suit comes from at the begining. Different upgrades have been left there with puzzles to guard them because the Chozo have left them there to test and strenghten the woman of the prophecy (us). This is also why some of the paths look so convoluted: since the Chozo have many abilities you don't have at the begining, they are just able to get around way easier, like you are able to get around easier as you get more upgrades.

This was my first Metroid game to beat, and I really liked it a lot because of the atmosphere. I definitely missed out on this game because I wasn’t into the franchise back then but looking into this more, it made me want to try more of these games, especially prime 4 when it comes out. I still need to continue Metroid Dread at some point.

The biggest secret for doing half pipes: let go of the stick and let the game's physics do the work. When you hold the stick Samus spins at a set speed like a tire on a car. but when you let go physycs takes over and she rolls like a marble, with boost ball giving you a push in the direction you're going.

A few tips that don't involve spoilers: - As you probably noticed, certain materials can be destroyed by certain weapons. Talloric alloy, sandstone, radion, cordite, bendezium, etc all have a unique weapon they are weak to. If you want to know which material can be destroyed by your weapons at that current time, just check out the inventory and every weapon will have extra info about them that will give you the answer. It's available at all times too in case you forget what weapon destroys what. - The artifact hints are always on your logbook so you can check em out at any moment in time. - there's a way to rapid fire missiles if you care about that: while the power and ONLY the power beam is active, shoot a missile and quickly tap the beam button, then immediately tap the missile button again and swap back and forth between the two in quick fashion. You might find it useful for certain situations (like killing the sheegoths much faster or also handling the shadow pirates faster as well). - Whenever you stand near an upgrade or a pick up, listen carefully. There's a buzz sound that grows stronger and louder the closer you are to it. That's a neat way the game offers players an alternative to finding secrets in the world behind walls, under floors, out of sight, etc. PD: I loved how you took a few minutes to appreciate the architecture and music in both the artifact temple (where all the artifact hints were) and the ice chapel (the room with the spooky and ominous looking chozo statues). Those two are my favorites rooms in the entire game just because of the aura, the vibe, the scenery and the atmosphere... Just bliss.

I always think the Morph Ball looks like its from Tron with the protruding light when it moves! That "Use the power beam" was so funny at the end!! Thanks Mage, keep them coming

I remember playing this as a kid, i need to buy it again, theres so much nostalgia for me, i had one more game i played back then very similar to dark alliance but i cant remember any details besides how the game looked, im on the hunt for it now

The tutorials in GaG are kinda designed to people who have pretty played a lot of Swarm Disaster already. Since it was released later, people who were really into SU content (me) had 100% Swarm Disaster at that point (except maybe the mathematically impossible achievements that somehow made it past the QA) and knew all the mechanics quite well, so the tutorial boxes pretty much highlighted what is new in this mode compared to Swarm. Also as a Day 1 Genshin/HSR/ZZZ player I've gotten quite used to the way Mihoyo does stuff, but watching your playthrough as a newer player has highlighted some of the difficulties that old players can just ignore. I read all the tutorial boxes and stuff and even if I don't immediately understand what they mean, I can intuit the mechanics based on the previous experience quite fast.

No spoilers but I’ll just say the RE4 Remake Separate Ways is fantastic. I’m going to be doing a replay of RE4 in October myself.
